12th May 2011 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: WNW Wind Stength: 22-28 knot Surf / Sea State: 2 foot surf Air Temperature: 12ºC Sea Temperature: 12ºC Weather: Sunny spells Max Speed: 22.7 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 16.22 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) After not enough wind yesterday I rigged big to start with. Biggest board (104ltr S-Type) and big sail (5.6m Gun Nexus). All was well with that set up and I had a good sail up to the bar and then down to Borth and back. Played in the waves for a bit then as the wind filled in a little more I changed down to my 85ltr Naish Hybrid Freewave board. That was more like it, still well powered but much more fun in the waves. Neal was out kiting, well powered on his 12m as well. Made up for yesterday's frustrating sail anyway. |
